Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program

One great benefit of receiving WIC is that our breastfeeding peer counselors are here to help you!

They provide support and encouragement for pregnant and breastfeeding moms. Your peer counselor is available to you after usual business hours in the evenings and on the weekends. Your peer counselor can help you over the phone or in person at the health department or even your home. It is like having your own personal cheerleader!

All peer counselors have exclusively breastfed at least one infant for at least 6 months. Peer counselors receive special training to work with WIC clients and can help with basic breastfeeding support and questions.

For online breastfeeding support, please join our Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Facebook Group, where you can connect with other moms, receive advice from our peer counselors, and learn more about breastfeeding!
